Listen to The Truth
We must pay the most careful attention, therefore, to what we have heard, so that we do not drift away. (Hebrews 2:1)
If you are not careful and aware, the normal currents of life will cause you to drift from the faith. To drift does not require a major sickness or a divorce; just everyday life will do it. Perhaps you don’t realize it, but you may have drifted into a place of doubt. You used to be excited about your dreams, but the passion is gone. Maybe you’ve drifted into bitterness because you had a bad break or a person did you wrong. The good news is that you can stop the drift and start believing again; start expecting His goodness and blessings. Keep your hope in the Lord.
My hope is built on nothing less than Jesus' blood and righteousness. I dare not trust the sweetest frame but wholly lean on Jesus' name. On Christ the solid rock I stand, all other ground is sinking sand.
“Father, thank You that my faith can be firmly and securely anchored to my hope in You. Thank You that my hope and expectancy in You will never be disappointed, and it keeps me from drifting into doubt and mediocrity. You are an unchanging God that keeps your promises. Help me to be careful and stay true to the truth and my hope in You. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
